The Burns Ban effecting both Upper and Lower Yakima County are LIFTED effective 9:30 A.M. today, Monday, October 31st, 2011. The PM2.5 levels have decreased in the last 24 hours and are now at a “Healthy” level in both the Upper and the Lower County areas. Ventilation and Dispersion are Poor to Good for Yakima County with Fair to Good winds.
YRCAA staff will continue to monitor the air quality. Air Quality conditions can change rapidly.

To receive Authorization and an Allocation for Agricultural Burning you must:
1. Have a current Agricultural Burn Permit on file with YRCAA, and:
2. Must call YRCAA in the afternoon prior to the day you wish to burn for confirmation of an allocation to burn, IF you wish to
burn as early as permitted on the day you wish to burn (30 minutes after sunrise).
You may not initiate burning until such confirmation has been determined by YRCAA, and an allocation issued prior to the day of burning.
