Due to overnight precipitation and improving air quality, the Southwest Clean Air Agency (SWCAA) is removing the Stage 1 Burn Ban called for Cowlitz County, effective 10:00 AM on December 14, 2009. The long term weather forecast indicates conditions that will provide good ventilation in Southwest Washington.
We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to those who cooperated with this curtailment. SWCAA is sensitive to the hardship this Stage 1 Burn Ban may have placed on people in these times of increased economic burden. Thank you – we cannot do this without your help.
