Stage 1 Burn Ban is in effect in Spokane County as of 12:00 pm saturday

December 3, 2011

The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency issued a Stage 1 burn ban, effective 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 3. The use of fireplaces and wood stoves that are not certified by the EPA is banned in the Spokane area Smoke Control Zone until further notice. This action also prohibits outdoor burning county-wide.

We make every effort to ensure that all burn ban announcements and restrictions are posted. Always call or visit your county and local clean air agency and check the DNR fire danger for the most current information.

Hello Don – According to WA Burn Bans and Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency website (http://www.spokanecleanair.org/burning_conditions.asp), the burn ban is still active. I recommend calling your local clean air agency at 509-477-4727 if you have further questions.
