<description>As posted on the Grays Harbor County web site:
The following does not apply to burning within the limits of any city.

The following does not apply to lands “under the protection of” the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR), which are “all lands subject to the forest protection assessment under RCW 76.04.610 (such lands include any parcel of at least .01 acre with trees thereon, a property tax statement will indicate whether the parcel to be burned upon is subject to such assessment). Permits for burning on such lands are issued by the DNR Central Region office, 1-800-527-3305.

Outdoor burning is regulated pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 70.94 RCW and the rules promulgated thereto and contained in Chapter 173-425 WAC.

<description>Mason County posted a burn ban as of July 8, 2009 on their County website. No further details were posted. source: http://www.co.mason.wa.us/community_dev/fire_marshal/burn_ban.php

Furthermore, DNR posted the following information about this burn ban: The Department of Natural Resources, Mason County Fire Marshal, fire departments and fire districts have agreed to implement a burn ban in Mason County effective 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 and move the fire danger rating to Moderate. The ban shall remain in effect until further notice. The ban applies to silvicultural, land clearing and yard debris burning. Recreational campfires are allowed in campgrounds and on private land with landowner?s permission, as long as the fire is in an approved metal or concrete fire pit and clear of vegetation. The burn restrictions do not apply to federal forests or national parks, although these jurisdictions may have similar restrictions in effect.
