Effective Thursday, July 1, 2010, outdoor debris disposal burning is prohibited in most areas of Jefferson County. The restrictive ban generally extends until August 30, 2010. However, fire authorities may deem it necessary to extend the ban based on conditions seen on the ground. Please contact your local fire authority to determine if your area is included in this ban. Additionally, no open burning is allowed with the city limits of the following Counties:
- Port Townsend
- Sequim
- Port Angeles
- Forks
Olympic National Park and other regulated campgrounds are excluded from the restriction.
