Klickitat County Fire Danger Burn Ban

Klickitat County is currently under county wide fire safety burn bans for all areas outside the corporate limits of any city or town; the jurisdiction of the Yakama Indian Nation; and the jurisdiction of the Washington State Parks. All outdoor burning us banned until at least October 1, 2010. For outdoor burning restrictions within town or city limits contact your local fire department. For recreational fires check with local fire authority on restrictions before burning. For recreational fires within State Parks call (360) 902-8844 or go to http://www.parks.wa.gov/ and select the park you are camping at for updated information. If you have an agricultural pest or disease problem please contact Ecology at (509) 575-2490 M-F 8am til 5pm.

There are currently no Outdoor or Agricultural burn bans in the region, but Ecology permit holders must wait for an approved burn day. Central Region Ecology (CRO) makes a daily burn decision each morning after 9:00am. Follow this link for the daily burn decision (http://listserv.wa.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A0=BURN-DECISION-CRO).
