A burn ban is in effect July 15, 2010 through September 30, 2010 on all forest lands under Department of Natural Resources jurisdiction. All outdoor burning is banned with the exception of recreational fires in approved fire pits within designated state, county, municipal or other campgrounds. The use of gas and propane barbeques and self contained stoves are allowed. If you have questions, please contact the NorthwestRegion office at 360-856-3500. A Burn Ban is in effect for residential and land clearing burning under Whatcom county jurisdiction as of 8:00 am, July 15, 2010 until furthur notice. Recreation fires are allowed in some areas.
