If you have a written burn permit from DNR burning is allowed subject to the conditions of your permit.In most cases burning is not allowed when conditions reach a moderate or high fire danger. For silvicultural burning or burning on unimproved land you may burn piles less than 10 by 10 feet October 16 through June 30 under the Department of Natural Resources rule burning regulations.During July 1 through October 15, the piles must be less than 4 by 4 feet.If you have questions, please contact the Pacific Cascade Region office at 360-575-5089.A permit is required to burn piles of land clearing or backyard debris outside of urban areas of Lewis County.Visit www.lewiscountywa.gov to obtain a free permit.The permit is valid for piles 20 feet in diameter by 12 feet.Note that seasonal restrictions may apply.Call 360-740-1133 for a recorded message on burn restrictions.
