For outdoor residential or agriculture burning contact the Department of Ecology at 509-329-3400 or local fire district. Contact your local fire district prior to lighting any fires. Additional restrictions may be in place. A burn ban is in effect July 15, 2010 through September 30, 2010 on all forest lands under Department of Natural Resources jurisdiction. All outdoor burning is banned with the exception of recreational fires in approved fire pits within designated state, county, municipal or other campgrounds. The use of gas and propane barbeques and self contained stoves are allowed.
